It now works with TLS1.3, which is a huge change for all those websites we couldn't access before (that were getting more and more frequent).

There must be some rendering changes too, because Google now looks better in IBrowse than in the latest Firefox on my Linux PC!

8000000B is Line F exception (missing FPU emulation). Which CPU/FPU version are you running?

There was a problem with the installer in the initial release. It was fixed last night I think. Try downloading again. If that does not work try running SnoopDOS to see what's missing.

I'm getting an 'IbrowseNetwork' crash on the 2.5 demo whenever it attempts anything other than aminet. Might be related to the low spec nature of my machine i suppose. 8mb + 020. doesn't appear to run out of ram before crashing though.

One small problem - IBrowse wanted to open keymap.library V39, but my machine only has V37. To get around this I changed the byte at file offset $86f71 from $27 to $25. Seems to be working OK so far...
Noted ;-) I'll make sure that is fixed in the next update.

Well, it's announced as being compatible with 3.x+, which V39 is, so if keymap.library is the only V39+ thing in there, 2.x compatibility should be easy..

I've been using sslstrip on my Linux server as a proxy, because AmiSSL is too slow, even on a 060. The browser connects to port 10001 on the Linux machine and sslstrip will "convert" https content into http.

Now IB2.5 seems to ignore the http/https proxy settings or enforces AmiSSL. With IB2.4 on the same machine, everything is working fine as before.

So the decoding of images is done internally? Not by datatypes?

You can choose in the prefs between internal or external decoding per image format.

Best to choose internal on OS3 and OS4. For MorphOS, external may be better so that PPC datatypes can be used, which was also the case for IBrowse 2.4 on OS4 (not needed for 2.5 as the internal decoders are image decoders and as fast as WarpDTs).

Presumably you've checked your proxy settings are the same in 2.4 and 2.5? Are you using the simple HTTPS setting or a JS auto proxy?

I'd like to investigate this. The proxy functionality was not intentionally changed. Any error messages displayed?

One problem I always had with iBrowse 2.4 was that AmiSSL never worked (for the most part). This seems to be fixed in 2.5, atleast enough for me to view my favorite ssl only sites. You bet I will be paying for an upgrade.

I'll be keeping 2.4 handy though, just in case .

I ended up having to get a warez version of 2.4 as the store was closed when I first got my Amiga's connected to the internet.

I can't provide a screenshot right know, unfortunately. What I can say is that I used the existing prefs file from IB2.4 and both checkmarks for http/https proxies are activated. Proxy URLs and port numbers are correct as well. A JS auto proxy doesn't sound familiar to. Will check thoroughly and let you know.
