Hoyle Book Of Games 1-3
Hi, hopefully somebody could create whd-slaves of these games. Hoyle Volume III supports Roland MT-32, so especially that would be nice. These do have own HD-installs, but I can't get Hoyle III working with my BlizzardPPC-card (68040)

Hi, don't know unfortunately if there's manual protection, since I've tried only cracked versions some time ago.

I started work on the volume III game. There's mt32 support all right but there's also a .PAT file (1.PAT) which is missing must be renamed. I tried both 101 and 9 but it fails (invalid resource type). Any hints?

Hi, looks like I have copied 101.pat to 1.pat, so in the directory there is then 1.pat (556 bytes), 101.pat (556 bytes), 9.pat (194480 bytes). It is just same thing you tried?
I started game, and after Sierra-logo music plays through MT32 but otherwise just black screen. Don't know if that helps at all, but my Resource.cfg looks like this: videodrv=0 sounddrv=mt32.drv minhunk=210 minchip=250 kbddrv= mousedrv=YES |

Hoyle games can also be played with scummvm, they use the SCI engine

yes, we know that. But ScummVM needs a pretty much fast amiga and a graphics board. If you have a 68030/no gfx board it's better to play natively
Or you can open the cupboard and play snakes and ladders with a board game... I really don't see the point of volume III... Dominoes maybe? I can't imagine people paying full price for that... or even the 2 first games. |

Yes of course. I had just realized it and in addition the amiga version was supported. It was just information, not a recommendation. It is not specified on HOL. sorry if i misspoke.

absolutely no problem. Sorry if you thought that my 'we know that' was aggressive/dismissive (actually it kind of was, sorry about that). Not everyone knows that most Sierra games (but not Sierra Soccer for instance) use Sierra VM engine. And ScummVM amiga port is a blessing. Specially for games that weren't released on the amiga.
For others, I think that whdload running native version is faster/more efficient, specially if you're running the amiga version with crap colors. |

Hi, many thanks, just tested briefly Hoyle III and it worked nicely. Could you consider making whd-install of Enhanced version of Mixed-Up Mother Goose too? It is one of the few games that support Roland MT-32.

Very good! I don't know if there's protection, supposedly shouldn't be any.

That was fast Good work again! I quickly tested beta install and it worked with my Blizzard PPC -equipped Amiga 1200 and music played through MT32. Loading and saving worked too. That selectable MT-32 screen is neat idea by the way.
