CD32 - possible to have two kickstarts?
After washing my pcb I noticed that next to the 3.1 rom is another set of holes and marking which is identical to the rom holder next to it?
Anyone know if it's possible to have a pair of KS roms or what this may have been used for? Cheers. |

If I were a guessing man, I'd assume it's so you could have 2x ROMs each half the size (or double the size?) depending on the cost of parts?

CD32 has single 16-bit ROM. (CD32 is as cheaply made as possible..)
Second ROM was most likely for 32-bit ROM configuration (odd and even 16-bit ROM, like with all other 32-bit Amigas) |
