Haha, that's why I've not married my gf of 7 years yet, I don't like being told what to do.

A Tom Tom sat-nav. Can't say I'm going to miss my wife shouting "THIS WAY!" (left) and "THAT WAY" (right).

The deal is not final (as in I've not yet paid) but I'm hoping to buy two faulty Atari Falcon's with the intention of repairing both, selling one and hopefully it will work out free.

I'm taking quite a risk, they are unseen, both might be irreparable. But given how little I value them at, and the prices they go for on eBay it is perhaps my last chance of owning one.

I bought a NES, SNES and a Neo-Geo CD for $20 last week. The NES LED just blingks, the SNES works fine, and the NeoGeo appears to have a duff psu.

I also bought a couple more XBOXes for modding. I haven't bought any Amiga gear for ages.

Hi Alex, If you do buy them and manage to repair them both, would you sell the second one to me, please?

@Alexh I remember the hype about the Falcon at the time - it seemed an awesome machine. Never found one to buy I guess because so few were sold. What would you expect to pay on eBay? Interested to see how you get on restoring them.

Well i didn't buy this but got a free Philips 8833 monitor from davideo

It cleaned up nice and looks great with my little A600... I've set it up in one of my cupboards where it's neatly tucked away when not in use

They are here.

One is in the normal case, 4Mbyte RAM, 2.5" hard drive but has a faulty PSU (reportedly had 240v pumped through a 110v PSU).

The other is towered with an external keyboard but I was told the keyboard connector needs resoldering.

Extras include a spare falcon keyboard which needs the joystick ports reflowing (common fault), an official 2.5" internal HDD kit, VGA adapter, 13-pin DIN Monitor Adapter, External SCSI enclosure + drive, internal 3.5" 1.44 falcon coloured floppy drive + manuals.

Should I upset people by saying how much I paid for TWO, admittedly not yet functioning, Atari Falcons?

Guess.

Almost. £167 for two Atari Falcons. If I am luck both will be repairable and I'll get one for free.

My new Falcon PSU just arrived this moment (another 110v one unfortunately) so tomorrow I should be able to test what I consider the most likely candidate for repair.
