Whats special on the Amiga 500P???
I'm the owner of an A500P (please mind the 'P').
On http://www.amigahistory.de/modelle/a500.html it says it has got 512kb fastram already onboard! I have got 4x 256 (=1024 !!!) ramchips in my A500. Do i have 512kb fastram? When does the A500 use this fastram? |

According to the page you linked to this would be correct. The "P" rev seems to come with a total of 1MB of RAM, 512K is used for the chip RAM while the other 512K is used for fast ram. Note the maximum for each, 1MB for chip and 8MB for fast!

If A500P is A500+, it has 1MB of chip ram not fast ram but what is A500C then? Haven't heard of any amigas called like that. And it says A500+ is a different model. A500C looks very much like it!

they differ on the page between a500P and a500+
in the lower-left corner on the motherboard of my a500 motherboard stands: AMIGA 500P but in the workbech stands 500kb of ram. where's the fastram??? |

Frankly, I don't trust the information on that page. I always check the big book of amiga hardware for information about amiga hardware I don't know and they don't mention such a thing.

Only "Doom clone" for A500 is much faster with fast ram
