Eagleplayer now GPL

Eagleplayer, the famous music player is now free and released under GPL

Eagleplayer was written by Jan Blumenthal and Henryk Richter, formally known as Eagleeye & Buggs of Defect.
It was originally released as shareware. Due to the other commitments, we are not able to continue our development of Eagleplayer. Therefore, we decided to release the source code of Eagleplayer under GPL. Maybe, there are a few idealists still using Amiga computers and like to enhance Eagleplayer.

License
--------
As already stated, Eagleplayer is from version 2.04 on licensed under the GNU General Public License.
In short, this means Eagleplayer is now free and it is meant to stay that way. The chosen license grants everybody the right to obtain, use, and modify freely. There is however the obligation of retaining the authors and GPL copyright notices. For detailed information regarding the GPL, please read the file COPYING. Non-free licenses for using our code base in a closed source
environment are available on request.

Brilliant! First XAD now the excellent Eagleplayer. Thank you authors!

Does this also mean someone will release a free keyfile?

Eagleplayer is one of the few programs on the Classicwb that remains shareware.

If you look at the source package, it's wrote that to compile the source, you need a valid keyfile which SHOULD be include but i've not see it.
We have to wait for someone interested to look at the source who could compile the new version and remove the keyfile check.

But unfortunately, nobody is interested to develop more eagleplayer. the guys who arrive to have the key from the author is the first who contact the author after the release of the source for free.

That mean, untill now, even if free key, no new version of the great eagleplayer

Also i don't understand why on the link i read the following info:
Eagleplayer Keyfile (for non-commercial usage only!)

Why for non-commercial usage only when the program is GPL'ed?

Anyway eagleplayer is written in asm (sourceforge says this), so i understand why no one is really interested in working on it.

I think because today are to less guys who are interested on amiga sound programs :-(

I can say this - i know this because i was beta tester for the eagleplayer and now beta tester for the deliplayer. Try to find guys by getting soundprograms
and sources - there are no way to find these guys.

I'm searching many stuff for coding or fix eagleplayers (DT), but there is no help to find :-(

If you ask someone for help for a game - you get help !!!
