Lotus Gameplay?
Sure I'm going to get flamed for this, but is it me or are the Lotus games a bit dull? I've played 'Lotus III' and it doesn't seem that challenging, like the car almost steers itself half the time? I am playing some sort of 'trained' WHD version?
Best thing seems to be the music! |

Lotus 1 and 2 are different to 3. Try 1 and you will see how challeneging it is. Timeing your pit stops is essential.

Lotus 3 is indeed dull. Lotus 1&2 aren't!

Lotus 2 have nice surprises like driving under trucks, dry plants flying through road and nitro capsules to collect. Lotus 3 have only speed roads on Mars.

Lotus III on PC/MS-Dos is even more dull! Much easier than on Amiga.

Lotus 2 was the best for me. Loved the Space Ninja soundtrack!

I'm clearly in a minority but I don't really like the second game. Too short and just nothing to it although if you can play the link-up mode that's probably quite good I imagine. Much prefer the first and third games due to more longevity and a bigger challenge. However Lamborghini American Challenge is better than all of them

Anyways, both were nice games and maybe the inspiration for NFS Underground, but I still prefer any Lotus to the Titus titles. Lotus 2 is probably the most popular title, because it was the smoothest pseudo 3-D game on the Amiga and had an excellent soundtrack. Yes it's short, but still more challenging than Lotus III, imo. |

Lotus II is my favorite one too (I began to play on the one, the first Amiga game that I have played ).
I did just miss soundtracks Inside races... |

I liked the mechanics of II but it was the checkpoint style instead of race that let it down for me.

Lotus 2 is my favorite simply because it was the first one I played. Love the music and sounds, love the tracks, love the speed of it. But I must admit that it is very repetitive, its one of those games you can play with your brain switched off. That's why I always preferred Supercars 2 in that time period, there was more to do.

Lotus Turbo Challenge is sadly the only car racing game ever released on amiga: it would be cool if it was a series or if other car racing games were released!
Like, Core for instance did cool games like Dune, why they never did a game like Lotus? |

You're being sarcastic again without using the proper smileys to indicate as such right?

The first game is my favorite. I have always been curious why the animation and "scrolling" effect in the second and third games were not as smooth as in the original. Anyone know?
