WinUAE meanwhile often hangs or crashes

Hi there,


unfortunately for me WinUAE meanwhile often hangs or crashes here.
Even after updating to V4.1.0 this still occurs. Hanging or crashing is independently from the configuration I choose (either 060 or AOS4.1FE).
System is Win10 64 Bit.



When starting WinUAE stays in black or gray screen and system requestor is shown telling me that WinUAE does not respond and whether I want to wait for a response or cancel it. Cancelling often does not work - sometimes waiting works. These crashes often occur when AOS is starting or shall be reset.


In Task manager WinUAE then always is listed as inaktiv and sometimes cannot even be cancelled when taskmanager was launched using admin rights!


Any idea what's going wrong here?

If Task manager can't kill it, it usually means bad driver, stuck in some kernel mode (=driver) code.

Try Task manager's "Create dump file" option (right click winuae.exe). If it generates crash dump, compress and attach or email it. Use as simple as possible config because crash dump file will get larger, the more complex/more memory is configured.

EDIT: Attach also winuaebootlog.txt. Check also if removal of all unneeded USB devices help. Some bad USB HID devices get confused when they are accessed in raw input mode.
