A500 question
Hi all.
I'm trying to remove the two screws that are in the rear of the A500 (In each input, mouse, joystick etc.). I tried with a few tools but i ruined them Seems to be an hexagonal screw with a thread inside, so i wonder which is the tool i need for removing it. Any help really much appreciated thank you. |

A hex socket is what you should use. Either from a precision tool kit or just a 1/4" drive or smaller metric socket set would probably have the tool you need.
Try to get thin walled sockets so that they fit between the nut and D connector wall, too big and the D connector gets deformed. I use one from an old precision tool kit.. I think that particular tool is the only one I still have left from that kit. :-D |

What you require is a 5.0mm nut driver. A local cut-price shop sells a set of precision drivers which includes 3.0, 4.0 amd 5.0mm nut drivers for less than £1 GBP.
As you would expect, the set is not of the best quality but nonetheless ideal for a job like this. |
