Thanks, all three added.
Interesting to see a screenshot for credits for Twilight's Ransom. I don't know if the Amiga version does not have one or if the contributor for the entry did not bother (or find) with that. Might need a bit of investigation. Even if the Amiga version has no such screen I guess some info. could be salvaged from the ST version (Game Design by). |

Thx added.
Also added conversion for DOS: Mobygames entry with box and disk scan + screenshots: http://www.mobygames.com/game/invet/cover-art Apparently it can be found online. Need a bit of searching though. Cannot confirm 100% working since I don't want to fill my hard disk with abandonware and . have it compromised |

No specific entry on MG. However: - Same publisher - The publisher did Amiga and ST versions of games at the time (1990): http://www.mobygames.com/browse/game...1d/list-games/ - People listed as programmers on Atari Legend are also listed on the DBS Therefore I think it is quite safe to consider it is the same game. I'll give a quick try to both versions later though to double check. |

On disk 1 (of the current TOSEC set) there is a file called INSTALLATION.NOTES saying: Code:
Installation Notes: If you received this game in its compressed format, you will need to decompress the files, Inner_Demons1.lha, Inner_Demons2.lha, Inner_Demons3.lha and Inner_Demons4.lha onto blank disks. Label the disks ID1, ID2, ID3 and ID4. Make disk ID1 bootable by using the install command from workbench CLI. You will also need to copy the following workbench files to disk ID1: From Workbench C: assign copy echo makedir path run stack wait to ID1:C From Workbench Devs: ramdrive.device to ID1:devs From Workbench L: Ram-Handler to ID1:l From Workbench Libs: diskfont.library icon.library to ID1:libs After doing this, simply insert disk ID1 at bootup to start the game. Also regarding the status of the game (PD in TOSEC, commercial on HOL) another file called IMPORTANT_INFORMATION says: Code:
SHAREWARE INFORMATION This game is shareware and is copyright (C) 1995 by Michael Zerbo. If you enjoy this game please register by sending $10 in U.S. funds (Cash, Check or Money Order) to: Michael Zerbo 16 Colony Drive West Sayville, N.Y. 11796-1611 U.S.A. By registering this game you are compensating me for the time and effort put into creating the game. You will also encourage further work on the Amiga platform. All users who submit the shareware fee will receive the registered version of Inner Demons, which includes additional features not found in the shareware version. You will also receive full support for the game, as well as a copy of the solution to the game. Perhaps the shareware version is on 1 disk and was used for the HOL entry and the full version is the 4-disk version? This is quite interesting because I could not find direct disk images for both ST and Amiga versions. However, there is a compilation called 5 Intelligent Strategy Games available for both platforms: http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari...mes_24643.html http://hol.abime.net/3652 So after checking those: 1) Draughts is definitely the same game 2) I'll set the compilation to HD installable since disk 1 contains a Hard_Disk_Install exacutable 3) I wonder if I should set the compilation as having a conversion hardware since the same games are included on both platforms. It goes as far as having two separate executables for Draughts 8*8 and Draughts 10*10 on each platform. 4) I am pretty sure we should fill the compilation entry like is done for other compilations with links to the individual entries of the included games: Backgammon Royale Bridge 2000 Chess Player 2150 Draughts Go Player I checked that the Bridge game is actually Bridge 2000 (and not the Omar Sharif Bridge game): I also checked which chess game was on the compilation (player 2150 and not Chess Champion 2175). Interestingly they bothered to change the last line from World's strongest chess to Intelligent Strategy Games 5. Reciprocally, I guess each individual entry need to list the compilation. |

Gettysburg: The Turning Point http://hol.abime.net/2719 and Rebel Charge At Chickamauga http://hol.abime.net/1208 are very similar so I think developer should be the same.

And it is even the same coder. Besides there is the conversion note of Gettysburg that hints towards that.
Not sure if the developer part of Gettysburg was simply forgotten when the entry was made or if there was a specific reason. I'll wait a bit to see if some HOL members have something to say on the matter and if not I'll add SSI as a developer. At worse it can be easily reverted back to unknown. |
