Hi all!

I started a table to summarise the strengths and weaknesses of many of the mod players out there

If one of your favourite player or format is not there, please just let me know (via PM maybe?)... It's a work in progress but, so far, EaglePlayer is in the top three (with DeliTracker and HippoPlayer)

Cheers!

Question

I'm using the latest v2.06 and loving it! Only issue I have is when automatically playing the next mp3 file in my list the 14 Bit Amplifier drops down to 2 channels instead of 4? I did save the settings & have global set so don't know why this is happening as its quite annoying having to change it after every song

I miss EDPlayer from your list. It is one of my favourite. Small footprint, niely done GUI, runs on every systems practically, and can turn to super high resolution mode. Loved to listen mods and meds with it on my scandoubler-powered A500.

Nice list anyway, will pick the ones I don't know yet to try out.

Thanks Lesta SMSC, Reynolds, and Ras Voja!

I didn't know EDPlayer, it's now in my TODO list!

Cheers!

Hi there!

I found a bug in EaglePlayer v2.06: it crashes my Amiga when playing this module.

Steps to reproduce:
  1. Start EaglePlayer v2.06
  2. Load the module Dreams&Magic4.SymMOD
  3. There's some screen thrashing, nothing serious
  4. An info. window opens, titled "Symphonie 3.1"
  5. If the camd.library is not present, then the window closes and a requester opens saying "Library not found.", pressing "OK" crashes my Amiga immediately.
  6. If the camd.library is present, a requester opens with some message from the composer, the module plays, the module ends, the same requester opens again, quitting EaglePlayer crashes my Amiga. (The window "Symphonie 3.1" cannot be closed.)

Hope that helps!

PS. I just noticed that if I eject the module first, then EaglePlayer can quit without crashing

DreamsMagic4 is a music module created with Symphonie Pro, tested with Symphonie Pro Player and it works perfectly, see screenshot.

https://aminet.net/package/mus/edit/Symphonie

Eagle Player on my OS3.9 BB4 system plays DreamsMagic4 well, only problem that you have to close Eagle Player first and then the Symphonie Pro GUI.

I made a small video showing Eagle Player playing the DreamsMagic4 module with its internal "Symphonie Pro" Player.

Although the module plays, the Symphonie Pro GUI still shows that it has encountered an error in recognizing the module.

If you use Symphonie Pro Player 3.3 instead, as shown in the screenshot, this error is not displayed !
