Heh, well done djbcoffee I guess I can close shop now on my GVP compatible SIMM sales Not a big deal as I only designed them because I needed a bunch of them for my own hw, but good to know there is an other design out there so I don't order more parts for a new batch.. My only (slight) regret that I wasn't aware of that Aminet source, would have saved me days of staring at datasheets and measuring out signals..
For anyone else who is interested in finished modules I'm selling out my last batch for a special price (available as stock lasts, drop me a msg here or at Amibay): (24€ for 16MB and 16€ for 4MB modules: http://www.amibay.com/showthread.php...-with-warranty http://www.amibay.com/showthread.php...P-accelerators |

Just to confirm I ordered some of these (well twice, the first time I incorrectly ordered 1.4mm thick ones and they were too thick - they must be 1.2mm) and they work perfectly
I think the originals do have capacitors - if you look underneath one of the chips on the side you can see them - I only thought to look after desoldering a few 72pin simms and finding 0.11uF caps under the chips. But I can also confirm I've tested without the caps on them and they work fine too. Thanks again djbcoffee! |

This is an awesome project/product. Sounds like you're winding down. Is this chip compatible with a GVP Impact Series II A500 HD+?
My controller ram sockets were ruined with repair attempts prior to and after me. So no ram there. Would want PCB and Ram to go with it if it is. depending on total cost and availability of course. |

Maybe someone has seen the 16MB version PCB files in the public domain? Or maybe someone can share it?

I have found this link https://www.a1k.org/forum/index.php?threads/49495/ from https://www.amibay.com/forum/want-to...tal#post964508. Is it correct link? I have registered in a1k.org and tried to follow the link, but it looks like this thread doesn't exist anymore. |
