Yeah but buying an xbox isn't giving money to M$, it's taking it.

They lose money on every xbox sold. As long as you don't buy a game then you're losing them money.

And besides, that's a shit attitude to have anyway imho

I always buy my games from the secondhand bin at Game. Have about 17 now and have never paid more than £5 each

Favourite game at the moment is Gun Metal.

As long as you dont get into the mentality of 'got to have the latest title NOW!!' then you can make massive savings!

Ive also got about 18 playstation 2 games this way and I dont even have a console yet! (Second hand PS2's are £99 in Game which is way too high.)

I never buy games second hand from game/eb cos they've always got scribbles all over them, they get out there big fat permanent markers and write P all over the bloody things.

For me a game isn't just a game, it's a kinda investment, so I want my stuff in tip-top condition.

Yeah that REALLY pisses me off too.

However, Nail Polish remover and a cotton wool ball is very good for restoring them to former glory. you have to be very quick and not rub too hard though as it tends to take off the printed ink on the manuals as well.

I was about to give the same tip, though a gentle rub with your thumbnail is also quite effective, and use your thumbnail to remove any permanent marker scribbles from the outer case as nail varnish remover here sometimes leaves you with a little dull spot - but it is quite easy to remove these marks, and if that little bit of effort is going to give you a half-price game then...

I'd only have half the games I have now if I always bought full-price

Yeah I know you can do this with cases and discs but it's when it's on the actual sleeve or the manual, it's really annoying and you almost always end up with colour-less bits and shitty white spots.

Luckily my panzer dragoon saga box doesn't suffer from this

Updated again!, I guess it won't be too soon before we get bin/cue/mp3 support?
Most xbox custom dashs support pictures for icons, perhaps someone can make a temp one?
Xport does not tend to make embedded icons in his .xbe's save for xboyadvance

Uhm, I think I'm waiting for the "final" version. Seems like they keep releasing new versions every day now. Isn't it enough to only release them once in a while, with accumulated fixes/changes?

mostly he fixes bugs and adds new features and releases a new version,
have you ever seen a final version of an emulator or homemade app?
Some gubs have to be fixed fast, or do you wanna live with in a flat without a roof?
Its worth a try, really.

No, I've never seen a final version. That's why I said "final".

It's just that I don't care to download and reinstall a new version every week. And usually, the version is not called v1, v2, v3, v4 etc etc. Only a major fix justifes a "sequel". That's why we have v1.1, v1.2, v1.3 etc.
