Exclamation GUI refresh problems + OpenGL Speed Problems in 0.821r4

I'm having difficulty making the GUI appear when I press F12 in full-screen mode. The Windows cursor appears but not the GUI menu. Sometimes the only way I can make the GUI visible is to press F12 (then ENTER) several times before it eventually appears.

Second, in OpenGL mode I can't run the emulator at full speed. I use a standard A500 configuration set to 'match A500 speed' . This problem may just be the fault of my computer being too slow; however, when I select 'Run at fastest speed possible', I get a perfect frame-rate and clear sound.
