nice setup - i'm on linux here too, but its so damn slow, it simply sucks.
if you got pfs2 installed, please try the aminet patch too, just to ensure we have al least one final version (PFS2 in this case)

yep ... crack seems to work .. it says ok .. install OK ..but update fail ... i'm retrying without crack ... a serial number is given in the first PFS2 archive.

hmm, yep, use only the serial provided, there should be no need for a crack for PFS2.
the file "crackpfs2" is only used, if you dont want to use the supplied serial.

hmm, did you first installed PFS2 4.1 again using the serial within the archive? maybe removing the previously installed files before re-installing.

Edit#1: also ensure to update the english version. updates are for français, deutsch and english, but installation only comes with english.

PFS2 install OK
PFS2 Patch without crack and given serial : OK
PFS3 Update from PFS2 : Not working ... asking name&serial from PFS3 AND name&serial from PFS2 !

So we need real PFS3 serial again ...

The crack say ok on PFS2 and PFS3 files too, but the serial entered or given not working at all...

So we need a cool Guy with a real PFS3 CD & Serial .. and with French version would be Cool

- PFS3: since its still sold, we are stuck, until softhut takes it from it's shelfs

Edit: since the crackpfs2 file is only about 2k, maybe someone skilled could find a solution/fix for it :/

Everyone knows softhut website has not been updated since 2003, so many stuff on their webshop is unavailable, despite being shown on stock. It is not really the way. Check Vesalia and Amigakit, if they dont have it in stock, it is not being sold any.more.

and i can only patch from my real Amiga .. on e-uae .. the patchs are freezing during patching !

i've found an old scratchy CD from my previous 15 years old Amiga saves .. with a PFS2 serial... tested this night ... work with PFS2 . but always not with PFS3...:\

on this cd, there is a PFS4.2.lha ... but i can't read it fully ...1.8Meg over 2Meg ... and when i "decrunch" the archive .. i got all the language including ... french , juste missing installation part... i will post the archive asap..
