-ofast crashed the rpi2 about 45 mins into complation using around 480mb memory (g++ 4.6.3).

Through curiosity i shall now try with g++ 4.8 and also -mcpu=cortex-a7 instead of -march-armv7-a, see if either help

yeah - gcc 4.6 is somewhat buggy building for arm from my experience - I've seen a bunch of crashes when using -O3 / -Ofast - 4.7/4.8 is more stable. 4.8 seems to require more ram than 4.7.

I build in an emulated arm chroot on this pc + distcc on the host machine which does quite well and allows me to test retropie build scripts without losing patience

g++-4.8 compiles fine with -ofast .

No noticeable performance improvement over -o2 on g++-4.6.

Also tried -mcpu=cortex-a7 -mfpu=neon-vfpv4 with ofast

Again no noticeable improvement.

Strangely it does not seem to increase compile time much at all using ofast with 4.8 , still around 12 mins on m68k folder

Are there any plans to improve the on-screen keyboard ? The Multi ling keyboard is a pain in the ass to setup and it still doesnt have important Amiga keys like `Help`. Does a USB keyboard work with this Android version ?

May be ever, don't know.
I never not tested any external keyboard, no idea.

I have successfully tested a B-Move wireless keyboard and mouse in my Android MiniPC .

BTW, i have noticed a one second delay in sound while i was testing Turrican.

I was using the standard A500 configuration and the minipc has a quadcore processor, so, i don't think the problem were the performance.

See ya!

Hello all.

I am trying to set up Amiga emulation on my TV since I hate playing retro games sat up close to my PC. I've installed Uae4all-SDL on my Amazon Fire TV. It all runs ok, but I'm trying to get it working nicely with my BT keyboard.

A few problems. There are no F-keys. Instead I get special keys for volume control, switch screens, search etc. Also no ESC key, it is the Home button which quits back to launcher/homescreen.

Is there any way to remap keys?

Also I have a mouse app on my phone. How do I map that to the Amiga mouse, it doesn seem to work, instead I get a second mouse pointer which has no effect inside the emulation.

Thanks.

ESC key and F-key you can use via "Multiling O keyboard" and linux plugin
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kl.ime.oh
It is floating and transparent

You can remap key via SDL-settings. When run app, when SDL logo displayed on screen try to press button 'Change device configuration'
Also you can use custom control from uae4all2 gui.

Thanks. However I won't be able to use Multiling O Keyboard as I am using android on TV and don't have a touchscreen.

Looked at the remap key settings and managed to map the Esc key, great!

There are some buttons which I cannot override though. I'm trying to remap all the special shortcut keys along the top to F1-F15 but some keys like the Calculator or Contacts shortcut key is pressed, it will switch out from uae4all and go to the corresponding app. Is it possible for uae4all to completely override this behaviour?

Also the RSHIFT key doesn't appear to be working, even though it is mapped correctly. I am playing Frontier Elite II and the RSHIFT key does not decrease the engine speed. I even tried mapping the Left Shift key to RSHIFT but still doesn't work. When I type in another app, the shift key does correctly capitalize, so I'm thinking it might be an issue with uae4all?

One last one (for now ). How do I use the arrow keys as actual arrow keys rather than as emulated joystick, mouse or stylus?

This keycodes HOME END PAGEDOWN PAGEUP RCTRL RSHIFT assigned by app as special keys <A> <B> <X> <Y> <L> <R>. That also reason why RSHIFT not works as RSHIFT

but you can try remap via sdl-settings one button to HOME keycode, than via uae4all2 GUI, select custom tab, Switch 'custom control' to on. And select for <A> button - right shift
This solution must works

Yes that has resolved my RSHIFT problem, thanks very much!

Had to map F1-F10 to my number keys in the end, but I think that's more to do with my keyboard not having actual F keys. Any chance of having key map profiles in future versions?

No idea about future versions.
At currently you can reserve some buttons to keycode "HOME END PAGEDOWN PAGEUP RCTRL RSHIFT"
and use it with custom control
With custom control you can save configuration "save config for current game" for floppy games or "config manager" for harddrive-games

Hi at the SDL change device configuration screen, I resize the onscreen keyboard (dpad) but when I play a game the dpad is default size. Is there a fix for this? I have a large phone and am keen to resize the dpad.
