You're talking about this from the above link?

There is a Sonic The Hedgehog for the Amiga but if I remember correctly it's sort of a playable demo and only one level...

Playable...hm..yes you can move Sonic and the scrolling works, too...but it´s no "game" because nothing happens. You run and run and run....

If you call senseless running a "game" then your are right I would call this a "demo".

I googled, but just came up with heaps of dodgy sites and places to D/L that didn't say what it is...

...can't comment. I use Windows emulators

From what I've read on EAB though it's supposed to be pretty good

I would assume that it also uses images of the cartridge i.e. .SMS files.

See PlanetEmu's Master System --> GoodSMS (2.01) section for more details

It is brilliant. With an 030+ you achieve full speed in most games (with an 060 in every game I've tried out). Those games that doesn't work refuses to start (unfortunately Ys - Ancient Ys Vanished is one of them), but the ones working mostly runs flawlessly...

Phantasy Star, Fantazy Zone II, Spellcaster, Kenseiden, Golvellius, Alex Kidd in Miracle World, Miracle Warriors... quite some good titles to be found on the system... indeed.

The SMS/GG version pales to the Genesis one. Is there a decent Genesis emu for Amiga?
