fMSX 2.x source
The source for fmsx http://aminet.net/package/misc/emu/fMSX was available upon request, but the author has since lost his sources ( I think I read it here on eab many years ago). So, did anyone request it back in the days, and might have a copy?

I *might* have a copy. I did at least have some sources from Hans (in particular the Z80 code as I was working on a Speccy emulator).
It's probably in a old Thor email archive somewhere. I'll have a look around and see what I can find. |

No luck I'm afraid.
I did find an email from Hans dated December 98 urging people to upload sources to Aminet (which is somewhat ironic). Looks like he scraped emails from Aminet. I found the source for fMSX 1.4 (at least I think, 7zip or lha won't open the lzx file). Let me know if this is useful and I will try other archivers. |

Thanks for the effort of looking nogginthenog. 1.4 source would be interesting too, please zone it, and I'll have a look too, if the archive isn't corrupt.
I'm sure someone has it out there, though, gathering dust in a hard drive in a storage somewhere. |

fMSX_1.4_src.zip added to the zone. Silly me, I was thinking lzx was the same as lzh. Unlzx from Aminet opened it.

Hello
There's fMSX 2.4a available for Amiga. It's described as "source", but it's source with compiled executables (fMSX for 020/030 and fMSX060 for 040/060). You could need also fMSX.data file. http://aminet.net/package/misc/emu/fMSX_2.4a_src |

Hey guys! Nice to see there's still interest in this. The source code that was posted to Aminet is legit; I gave it to ascp (I think ;-) ) for the purpose of uploading.
It was lost, or at least seriously misplaced, for quite a few years. I managed to recover it a while ago when I finally decided to sell my Amiga hardware, and found that my main harddisk miraculously booted for one final time. It really was the final time; afterwards it died completely... |
