It is, I bought two (and two ACA500 back then, still a worthy expansion over some others at the right price IMO) so actually what the new run made me think about was Indivision, don't have one as I have CRTs and Joytechs, but considering 'just getting it' in case I find a larger flatscreen for travel and demoparties. Not sure. I'm sort of a CRT way or the highway kinda guy. But thinking about it.

Either way good news for those who were met with "sold out" last run. And don't want to pay *bay prices. Except if you wait too long the new thing is you have to pay *bay prices @ icomp hehe

The original Indivision ECS (which is the one I have in a couple of machines) is rather nice, though its party trick - the 50Hz mode - does require a monitor that is compatible with 50Hz over VGA. And sadly, a lot aren't.

I'll be honest and say I still kinda prefer the look of the screen on the Philips monitor (smallish CRT's are very hard to beat for Amiga stuff IMHO), but the Indivision gives a very nice and crisp image nonetheless. The new scaler/scanlines options sound nice too.

I've just noticed the X-surf-500 is also available. Good times.

Sweet stuff. I have been wondering if the A4000D Indivision AGA is going to be made again. My Picasso 4 does very well, but there are times I'd really like to BlizKick A500 Kickstart and see the screen on my newer monitors. But great news for A500 users. I still have one, and should probably have it re-capped.

Appreciate the share. Well done, Jens.

Wasn't there a rumour going around awhile ago that Jens was also working on a new Indivision AGA card, or have I confused it with this ECS version?

Check the link. Then Store. Within that you'll locate:

"Indivision AGA MK2cr for A4000D and CD32."

"This version of the flicker fixer is currently sold out. We are working on a new version."

Yes, Jens will come up with new AGA indi in early 2019, including some of the new ECS Indi v3 features as well (e.g. V-Sync).

Individual Computers announce 040/060 accelerators for next year?

I just noticed this:
https://icomp.de/shop-icomp/en/33/it...is-ending.html

Quote:
We will also be able to serve numerous requests for even faster accelerators next year: A good quantity of 68040 and 68060 CPUs has already arrived in our premises and passed our incoming materials inspection. After a multiple year-long search, we finally have the required quantity of processors to start a design for these fastest members of the M68k processor family.
Great news.

I remember him teasing a PCB design for a 1200 060 board quite some time ago already on A1k.

So lets see..... i fear what the price will end up being....

Amiga business planning 101:

1. Buy plenty of 040/060 in the post-Amiga years when they're cheap
2. Sit on them
3. Produce and sell as many 020/030 boards as the market is willing to pay for
4. Offer the good 040/060 stuff and make customers want to buy and upgrade again
5. Profit

Interesting, if he an make it as ground breaking as the old ACA 1230 @ 56Mhz then an 060 version could be very impressive indeed (130 MIPS is possible).

The old Blizzard and Apollo cards were both great for the time but with newer technology there is plenty of scope from improvement.

Would love to see it happen but also concerned about the cost of such a beast.

Not sure why he's even bothering with an 040 version.

So anyone tested the new Indivision ECS V2 yet? Does it store the 50Hz setting properly?

I know the ECS Denise does not offer too much over the OCS version but does the Indivision ECS require it as the name implies?

If not, does the Indivision ECS benefit from the enhanced Denise in some other way?

The Indie ECS does not require the Super Denise at all.

The Super Denise does not enhance the Indie ECS at all either. As a matter of fact, the Indie ECS output is the same as using a Super Denise. The Super Denise, I believe, only gives additional resolutions when using a 15KHz monitor with it's own output. I had a Super Denise in my A2000 but pulled it out after I installed an Indie ECS as the machine is then using a 30KHz monitor and can't take advantage of the Super Denise. Hmmm, hope that made sense.
