Not Amiga but I really didn't enjoy Final Fantasy VII, I paid full price for it so forced myself to sit through hours of dull game play.

Yeah jRPG is either your thing or it totally isn't. I personally love the game but it still looks dorky often with the character just flailing around spastically to mimic voiceless "emotion"; plus there is quite a bit of level grinding involved which is simply not my idea of "gameplay". But the story was quite gripping, albeit a bit stretched out. That's what made me buy it and play it again recently.

FF7 is one of the best games i ever played. I found the gameplay good, especially the fighting system. But FF7 is not really about the gameplay, it's all about the story ! The Musics ! .. The tears ! ...Story ! .. tears ... Love, friendship...Sephiroth...

Guys youre still not selling it to me, I'm not falling for it again

Its comments like that which made me part with my cash in the first place

I'm glad I thought of a game that fits the bill though

now to think of an Amiga marmite game.
