Question A3630 FPU question

I have an A3630 card in my A3000 because the original CPU is not working anymore. (dont ask me why, I have no idea why)
I have a problem running the FPU at different frequency then 25MHz, or asynchronously to the CPU speed. I have a new Freescale 68882 40MHz chip and a couple different oscillators at 33, 50MHz. My original idea was to overclock from 40 to 50MHz.
I have noticed that the card runs fine at 25MHz, asynchronously or synchronously.
When I change the oscillator to 33MHz and set the jumper to use the external oscillator the system will boot , but when I try to run rendering software like Vista in FPU mode, the system will crash or freeze after few seconds of operation.
When I change the oscillator to 50MHZ the system will not boot at all.

Does anyone have problems running the A3630 FPU in higher frequency?
