Matt's Starcraft Video

Hi, guys, this week's "Matt Chat" is on Starcraft!

[ Show youtube player ]

Did any of you guys play this back in the day? I was surprised to find so many people still playing it on the battle.net servers. I'm wishing now I had gotten into it when it was fresh, but still a fun and playable game even today.

I bought it soon after it was released, since I was a big Warcraft fan (and still am). I was really impressed by the campaign Great storyline to accompany the brilliant RTS. So I played through it and since I'm not really into online gaming, I just shelved it and thought it was a great SP game. Some years later I heard that it had become a 'national sport' in Korea. That was really a 'WTF?' moment
Great review Matt

It's a great RTS game, one of the best. The storyline is fantastic.

But since I generally suck at RTSes, I could never finish the expansion pack, Brood War.

Good episode, but I am not really the real time guy. Personally I enjoyed jagged alliance (2) much more. On a sidenote: Matt you should split your program on youtube into two or more episodes (each ten minutes or so). This way they can be longer can´t they? They always make my day! One can tell that you really in it with your heart and there is always some info that doesn´t come by every day!

I need to finish this. Stuck somewhere in the middle of the Zerg campaign. Great RTS, I actually enjoyed this more than Warcraft III.
