New Game - Rotator

[ Show youtube player ]

Blurb aside Tim Gilbert & I made this game in the mid 90s and was due for a Licenceware release that never happened. After the Success of Black Dawn Rebirth we`ve dusted it off, added new music, graphics and levels to make it what it is now, We thought of releasing it as Rotator 2 but as noone had played the original we dropped the 2!

Psytronik Software is proud to present ROTATOR, a previously unreleased arcade game for the Commodore Amiga. Take control of your ROTATOR craft and carefully manoeuvre it through the varied challenging landscapes collecting diamonds whilst trying to stay above the ever-rising flood level!

• Stickers.

• Keyring.

• Hypergloss poster.

64 colours in AMOS with parallax backgroud, great! Reminds me of Wizzball, Cauldron II and Bouncy (Nokia mobile game).

The Psytronik looks very similar to Psygnosis? Sorry, are you affiliated with that company? If so my apologies.

sorry to stop you here, but from the youtube video of the game, the game-camera make me sick, there is a possibility to fix the camera movement in the game ?
for me it's unplayable

too many jumps, maybe the solution is to not center the camera to the player ?

I got a very nostalgic feeling watching this video. Nice! Looking forward for the game!

In regards to the camera, I can relate with people complaining about that. It's also one of the first things I noticed. The camera constantly bounching with the character just feels a bit too much. It's good to hear you are considering other options

I wonder what are the differences between this version and old one? Did they improve something, add new levels, redesign old ones or fix some bugs?
