AmiTCP4.22

Hello, an Amiga-enthusiast and friend of mine gave me a visit last weekend and we desperately tried to get a TCP/IP connection running between our two Amiga towers. Sadly, his AmiTCP install discs went defective over the years so the installer complained some files are missing. Is AmiTCP still marketed so we can try to get replacement discs. If not, could someone "zone" the 4.1 or 4.22 version, please? Thanks in advance, TET.

Okay, thanks. I thought the "demo" string in "AmiTCP-demo-40.lha" means it's somehow crippled or runtime limited. Will try these packages...

We had one A4000T and one towered A2000, both running OS3.9. We would like to run an FTP server on one, and one FTP client on the other machine. Could not find an FTPDemon for Genesis. We tried NCFTP, rc-ftp, etc which quit with an error message. Sorry I'm quite new in Amigas, and my friend has never set-up a TCP/IP network...

Genesis is AmiTCP with a GUI, so if it does not run with Genesis, it won't run with AmiTCP, either. You can even use a text editor and manually edit the AmiTCP config files within Genesis if you don't like the GUI.

I tried AmigaTradeCenter succesfully with Genesis in OS3.9. You could use that.

Thank you, friends! I got SimpleFtp and also AmigaTradeCenter running with Genesis and could connect to a MacOSX (running an FTP server). So basically the TCP/IP stack is working now. Next step is to get an FTP server running on the Amiga which I think should be no problem either... Again, thanks to everyone for hints and help.

Does genesis come with a ppp.device that might be usable with AmiTCP v4+ ?
