Indy Heat, it came true

30 years ago I used to play Indy Heat on Amiga 500 with my cousin Will Power at his house in Toowoomba, Queensland (and we used to laugh about running over the pit crew). Today he won the real thing, the Indy 500!

Good stuff! I hope no pit crew were harmed as in my initial thoughts of the story!

Thanks guys, here's a link. We used to play the Amiga after school. Nitro and Sensible Soccer. He actually dropped out of school in year 10 (15 yrs old) and worked at his dad's canvas factory making hire tents for parties. He did that until about 20 yrs old when he started getting some drives overseas and then got lucky enough to have a drive in the Gold Coast Indy in 2005. That was his first big break and then he signed up to Penske as a third driver for the team when Helios Castronoves was sidelined for a season.

Just goes to show the power of will. Bad pun I know, sorry couldn't help myself.

Top down racers? At least with F1GP "simulator" you could turn on the "best course" line and learn how to cut corners
