EAB/Lemon Super League 2015: Round 5 Game Vote

EAB/Lemon Super League 2015: Round 5 Game Vote
Starts: 00:01 March 22 Finishes: 23:59 April 4

Rules

Full rules are here.

Vote for five games.

Your first choice gets 5 points, second 4 pts, third 3 pts, fourth 2 pts, fifth 1 pt.

Remember to choose games suitable for competition play. Edited votes will be discounted (unless told otherwise) so think before you post. Please only vote on one board - either EAB or Lemon.

If a game comes in ECS and AGA versions, please state your preference in your vote. In the event the versions differ gameplay-wise, the version with most votes will be played. ECS is the default if you don't specify.

The winners of Round 4 have double voting power for Round 5. (1 = 10 points, 2 = 8 points etc). However, because the voting for the next round ends before the current round ends, players must place their votes and wait for the current round to end to see who will have their vote doubled. If one person wins both games in Round 4 their vote is trebled.

Tactical or nosey voters can see the Lemon voting thread here.

Voting is not allowed for games played between 2009-2015:

Yeah, that's why I stick the odd vote in for Super Twintris instead. It's a more polished version.

Those last two votes have made a huge difference to the outcome of this one.

1. Lotus III - 23
2. Great Giana Sisters - 14
3. Rick Dangerous 2 - 12
4. Wiz 'n' Liz - 11
5. Naughty Ones - 11

Total votes: 13 - Total games voted for: 38

The ten points Lotus III picked up in the last few hours have transformed this one. However Giana can still win, provided that those who voted for it in first place win both games of the current round.

Ooops, I've been secretly hoping that we'd play Giana soon, I didn't realise it was doing so well in the vote this time. Still, I'm sure it will come up eventually.

As you may know, on Lotus III, you can choose to play against the clock, or as a normal race where you score points in a championship. Has anybody got a particular preference as to which one you'd like to play? We'd play all three difficulty levels and add up the scores from each, regardless.

Just wanted to bump this again. I know players are happy either way, but I'd be interested in hearing what Lotus 1 champion Harry thinks, as bringing Lotus back into the championship brings him right back into the fight this year.

I know Champ/Cup mode was played in 2008 with Graham in a respectable position in the table, but almost everyone else never got to play that round. I think the timed mode gives the player too much time, and on the medium races the player ignores the track and the cars they just zone out. With with champ mode players need to watch the fuel!, and each car passed feels like a challenge and a victory. Lastly I truly feel the timed mode medium courses are boring and spoil the game.

I never play the timed mode in Lotus 3, so I cannot compare the 2 modes.

I just played both.

My preference is for the timed mode. Champ/Cup mode can be fun, but it is easy to get bored once you are in the lead - especially on tracks where you do a specific number of laps. Atleast with the timed mode you have endless cars to avoid/overtake

Ok, how about this: BOTH timed AND Cup.

Easy level Timed, Medium Level Cup, Hard level timed!

I'd give anything to avoid medium timed mode... e.g. Cup score x10,000

I don't think we should mix game types up as that confuses things unnecessarily.

To keep it simple we'll go for the cup mode. Although given some of the utter rubbish we have seen in this competition over the years, I hardly think a couple of dull tracks on Lotus' medium setting really compare but there we go.
