Opening DOpus5 CLI from script?

Hi:
I don't have an idea and I haven't found any info. Is it possible to make a script that could open a DOpus5 CLI?

And later from the script to run some DOpus5 commands?

Thanks.

Yes, you can use the DOpus ARexx port to do all the magic. All what you need to know can be read in DOpusM2_ARexx.guide.

Yeah, ARexx is probably the only way, but you can do a LOT with it.

If you want to use DOpus5 commands from a shell (script), you can run them with lines like this (which will open the DOpus5 CLI as asked):
rx "address DOPUS.1;command CLI"

You can run both DOpus5 internal commands and actual ARexx commands via the ARexx port. For example, these both will open a new lister with ram: loaded in them:
rx "address DOPUS.1;command scandir new 'ram:'"
rx "address DOPUS.1;lister new 'ram:'"

And of course if you aren't tied to a shell script in your case, you could just make the whole script in ARexx and forget the separate rx lines

Thanks for the info. Yep, I should have to start coding and maybe I will have to start.

But... I've got what I believe is a nice idea, and maybe some of you could code it if you like it.

The idea is simple: You click on a script and it "awakes" the A.I. of DOpus5 using the "Help me Eliza!" option. Then she should have to use some Say program to ... speak

Just that

Hey, that reminds me of the "wanna-be AI" program Eliza in the 1970'th which you could ask some stupid questions to get even more stupid answers.

Don't know which Eliza you're after now? If I ask Google it shows me some pictures of a nice looking young women from an American TV show.

The Eliza I was talking about is a bit older. She is the "kid" of Joseph Weizenbaum, who has written a program with that name in 1966 to demonstrate some sort of early "A.I." based dialogs. Somebody must have improved that program a lot if you can make dates with that Eliza now.

It seems that you didn't see the "HER" movie; you should because its very nice. In the movie the AI contacts with some young woman to have a phisical relation. The AI has the voice of Scarlett Johansson.

Well, her name in the movie is Samantha but now Eliza has her voice.

No, I never watch any movies, but I just saw the trailer of "HER" and 2 minutes are enough to understand what you are talking about: a new "Hollywood" vision of Eliza.

Yep. Sorry I was on the mobile and I couldn't post a trailer or something, but watch this for example. This is from where I've taken her voice:

And HER has an amazing OST... an OST that was never released but which you can listen here:

LOL. I'll tell you something. Once, time ago I had to work as a substitute in another place and it was me in front of a computer monitor and also, in front of me but with another monitor in front of her I had a girl, a funny one but anything else than a regular one.

But then, while I was working with the computer I was also listening to her phoning people, laughing and so... and she had the same voice of Scarlett Johansson, even funnier or even better.

... So I told her that it was a real pleasure not having to see her face ('cause of the monitors) and imaging that I was working with Scarlett in front of me

She told me something like thanks stupid, go to hell or similar
