The next one : Some things to say about this box ... a lot of the disks only had a number on it referring to lost lists that I didn't get that said what was on the disk. In case of NDOS disks I just named the adf with the number the disk had. So in case of multi-disk software, the following number is most likely what you need. In any case, the clock on my A2500 is working so the time/datestamps will also tell you what the next disc is.

For those that want to know where to get the next files ... I guess entering "bamiga" in the search box here every once and a while will get you what you need. On eab there is also a dedicated thread.

I noticed several bad files:
BS1 part 1: Afterburner USAversion.adf is 22KB long
BS1 part 3: Alpha.adf and DF3.adf are both 0 bytes long

Nice catch Simon. I'll wait till all ripping is done and some people figured out whether there is stuff in there that's not yet already released (TOSEC?) somehow.

Those are most likely disks that are nibble copies that tsgui or as such can't handle. All those are put aside to handle with a kryoflux. But since I don't have a kryoflux and handling those would slow down current image efforts it's not high on the to do list.

Another bad file report: in BS1 part 5, scalaab11.adf
Correct file size (901120 bytes) but every byte is $00.

(Or I guess someone could have previously erased the disk with some copier/utility which writes all $00 bytes, so the ADF may correctly reflect what was actually on that particular disk.)

Out of interest, which program are you guys using to image the disks? How does it handle disks with unreadable tracks? Another possibility is that whichever program you're using, it silently replaces the data of unreadable tracks with all-zero bytes. And the scalaab11 disk could have been blank/unformatted so none of its tracks were readable (in Amiga format).

Indeed, that's a file filled with 00 bytes.

I'm using "Disk Ripper" (http://aminet.net/package/disk/misc/DiskRipper1.52) and Simon is using TSGui (http://aminet.net/package/disk/misc/tsgui)
the TSGUI ReadMe says: "bad blocks are cleared in output file" so I guess that's just a bad disk.

My next batch of 150 disks is almost complete.
I got about 3 or 4 disks with a few bad sectors in them, that's 2% to 3%, so the disks seem to be in pretty good shape for their age.
All disks with bad sectors are kept separate to inspect/transfer them later on.
