A600 + 3.1 ROM ...no boot screen!

Hi,

I just installed the 3.1 ROM to my A600.

There is no boot screen (the one with the floppy and disk ) nor I cannot go to boot menus if I press both mouse buttons on startup..
BUT I can boot with a floppy and I can go to desktop !!!

What's going on? Did I received wrong version of ROM?
The ROM label says : K00960 Kiskstart 3.1 A500/A600/A2000

Any Ideas?

Waited at least 30s? (3.1 has really slow IDE detection)

Hi Chris.

Do you have a hard disk installed? If not, 3.1 is known to wait forever for one to spin up, untill the kickstart disk is shown. (ok, not forever, 30 sec at least) :-)

as I see I have to wait ........

I supposed I have to install a HD now if I don't want to wait !! LOL

Or a IDE->CF card or an IDE killer
