USB headers for the A1200 Kickstarter cases?
The A1200 I recently purchased has one of the recent A1200 Kickstarter cases. I was wondering if anyone has found a pair of USB headers that fit the knockouts on that case? None of the options for the Rapid Road seem to be the right ones so for now I'm going to use the rear trapdoor USB ports, but I'd really like to free that up for future use and get the proper one for the knockouts...
Anybody find something that works??? |

There may be more information on or linked to the successful kickstarter page https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...from-new-molds
From the pictures, I'd say it was a dual USB port socket set in a single molding instead of two single USB port sockets in two separate moldings; there are only two mounting screws instead of four on the outside of the case. The amigaonlake shop says it is compatible with the RapidRoadĀ© DoubleUSB (http://amigaonthelake.com/new-amiga-...e/#description) Last edited by jlin_au; 22 October 2018 at 07:48. |

Not yet sure if the one I've found on ebay will fit but visually it looks a match.
When I've header and A1200 in the same place I'll see if they're a match. There are similar on Aliexpress, just takes a bit of finding. EDIT: just opened my case and tried the header against the knockouts and it is the correct size. Haven't cut the holes yet so no pics. Last edited by fluffkitten; 22 October 2018 at 19:23. take the PC metal back plate off and check that with the flat side against the knockouts for fit. You can trace a pencil around the holes in the plate to confirm alignment

Ok, ordered something from Amazon that looked similar to the ebay one you posted. Fingers crossed...

The dual one I got with my RapidRoad fits just fine in the A1200 case cutout. I ordered another one from ebay that looked identical, but I received a 2x single instead. :/ At least I got my money back since it didn't match the picture. The 2x single are the most common ones though.
I ended up salvaging another dual header from an old PC that someone had trashed. |

The one I have will fit, it lines up well (as does a second one I bought from Aliexpress for a different project. Just need to get around to removing the cutouts.

The RapidRoad dual usb header I got fits nicely in the case though the screw holes don't line up precisely with the case holes.
