Floppy disk Power House

Not so much a looking for a game name, more a looking to see if the game exists on the Amiga. I saw it in an old 1995 Amiga Format magazine yesterday in preview form and wondered if it had ever actually been released. I know it was on the PC as it was a PC conversion. I'm 99% sure it was never released for the Amiga though. I wonder if anyone out there has some private beta of this game ala TFX.

Floppy disk Right I've found it

It's in the May 1995 edition of Amiga Format. It's issue number 71 and is on page 38.

Roll eyes (sarcastic) Doh

Oh well. I doubt there was ever a beta version of this flying around (I'd be suprised if there was) and it definitely didn't get published for the Amiga. I guess the story stops there.....or does it....

All it said in the preview was that it's a strategy game where you are the head of a corporation trying to beat other corps for global supremacy without affecting the eco system of the Earth or something like that.

By the way that issue of Amiga Format you missed is the one with the almost legendary review of the never released TFX. It got 91%

The version on AGA World is the version I (yes me) sent Ninja to upload to his site. Where did I get it from? CU Amiga coverdisk of course. The CU Amiga version IS a beta version and is as far as the Amiga version got. It was never released and the beta version isn't perfect. There are quite a few bugs in it but it is still very playable as long as you have a fast 68k.

Hmmm, you seem to forget something, the first TFX version on the CU Coverdisk was faulty .... missing some sounds, gfx and other stuff, so they made some update files for the next CU Amiga Coverdisk issue..... the problem was, the update was only on 50% of all delivered CD´s so some may have missed the update ..... that´s as far as I can tell the story cause it didn´t happen to me, but a friend of mine bought 2 CU Amiga that days and the CD´s were NOT identical ! And btw. according to Ocean the CU Amiga Version IS/WAS the FINAL VERSION, no beta ! I didn´t played it through the end, but I will tell you afterwards (I played the PC Version only until now) if it contains all missions etc. !

So, who has a turnkey, patched. finished, complete, updated 100%(ish) archive of TFX? Inquiring minds want to know!

One more thing :

AFAIK there is also a DISK version of this game, I think THAT one is the beta then You have to speak to WindowsKiller of the GAEB, IIRC he got that one

Then to the two versions I have (the one from AGAWorld and another) : They both seem to have about 7-8 MB size and are HD Versions but since I didn´t have the AGAWorld-Version installed anymore I couldn´t say what is different but one thing I remember .... my Version got the original Icons and other version support, I´ll suggest you download the AGAWorld Version and I ask RCK for permission to upload my 8MB Version to the Zone so you can decide for yourself

It would be great if someone can up the updates/missing files for my version, so I can make a full release and up it somewhere for you (The Zone, or a ftp...)
