Question is this Network Card Compatible to A1200? Just dug out of Cupboard From old Laptop

I just Found a Linksys Wireless G Notebook adapter 2.4GHz By Cisco Systems. That is all of the information I have on it.

Just Wondered would I be Able to Connect my A1200 to the Net with this Card?

What a Great Find if So!

I don't think it will work. Check the documentation in the driver archive for a compatibility list.

I think most/all Wireless G cards are of the 32-bit PC-Card era. The 1200/600 needs a 16-bit PCMCIA card. The card types are almost identical physically, but there are electrical/voltage differences. 32-bit cards can usually be distinguished by a copper-colored strip near the connector socket.

Amigakit sells a compatible wireless card.

The brass grounding strip above the connector tells that this is a 32-bit cardbus card. Not Amiga compatible.
