Hello
Just joined the board and wanted to say hi!
Started off with an 512K Amiga 1000 back in 1986/87, and later got an A500 with 1MB of memory in 1988, since I found it extremely difficult trying to find A1000 upgrades in the UK. Had the A500 for a few years, and then got an A1200, which later got turned into a tower, with a Picasso IV graphics card, Apollo '060 accelerator board, 64MB RAM, CD drive and a 1GB hard drive. Unfortunately, all of my real Amigas are long gone now, but I'm trying to recreate my A1200, as much as is possible, using WinUAE, and Amiga Forever for the Kickstart and Workbench files, but the only things missing are the firmware files for some of the emulated hardware, so I'm hoping that, at a later date, those too will be released legally. Still, I've got plenty of software to keep me going, since I held on to all of my Amiga CDs -- the floppy disks went long ago, given that I couldn't find any (relatively affordable) way to transfer them to PC. Anyway, looking forward to getting more involved with the Amiga again. Last edited by blakstar; 13 September 2018 at 13:30. Reason: Removed double spacing :-) |
