In the video (fascinating btw) it's mentioned that Intel bought up a lot of the FPGA companies and raised prices on them because they perhaps saw them as a potential threat? it makes you wonder if there are some big players in the microprocessor industry trying to put majsta and co. out of business before they can grow, especially with the talk of eventually moving from FPGA to 2ghz+ ASIC.

I don't know you Majsta, and you don't know me, but I wanted to express my support for you and what you do for the Amiga community.
I'm only just wending my way back into it from the edge, but I've been reading what you're doing and I think it's brilliant. Sadly, there are some very sick people out there that can't stand seeing someone creating something. They can't or won't do it themselves, but they begrudge anyone else having that ability. They are everywhere - I've been a victim of it myself in another hobby, just because I set up a very successful forum where bullying another member results in you getting booted. They make my blood boil Don't let the illegitimate sons of camels get to you |

@Wiffleolop Well written!
Also wanted to express my support to Majsta, but others have already written in better words what I have in my mind and heart. |

yap, kipper2k's website was down some days ago - now online again without his older projects.
all options possible, but if it's something big, someone would have made a statement already. so maybe it will be a pleasant surprise - the positive thinking thing, ya know?! #1) there is already something new on his website - a1200 150 pin connector to an 120pin PCI connector |

So much envy is just underlining the success of the Vampire 500!!! Do not care about this fucking moments and enjoy the good ones, because you and the Apollo team are the game changers in the actual Amiga history.
I feel remembered when I bought my first iPhone and everyone was laughing about it. There was also much medial envy, because they were game changers in the mobile market. So keep on going, I press my thumbs for you. |

I just stumbled across this thread and wanted to add my support.
Please don't give up Majsta. I bought a card and am proud to say that I'm with the majority supporters that are behind you, backing you up. Hopefully you guys can continue where Commodore left off and continue the development of the fine range of products that you guys turn out. |

I received my Vampire today! Plugged it in, connected my existing CF card from the kipper2k A508, and it worked immediately!
It booted so fast that I spontaneously blurted out "Holy $hit fuçks". My YAM email app loaded before the Wi-Fi dongle could even get DHCP from my router! VistaPro rendering was a buttery dream. Amazing job everyone involved!! (Quick question: Is there a fallback mode that will take it back to original 68k speeds when desired?) Thanks! |

btw. this feature will be removed in next firmware - it was only a temp solution for some games running too fast. #1) turtle mode, still looking for the tool. btw. in the link above you find the CPUMON tool - system monitring tool for the vampire (link in 4th posting) #2) i cannot find any other description or tool for the turtle mode. maybe an actual vampire owner can help here.
