Cyberstorm 060 advice
Hello all, I have an amiga 4000 with an original cyberstorm mk1 http://amiga.resource.cx/exp/cyberstorm1
and i am wondering if the disk available on the linked page are the latest/best versions of the 060libs? the reason i ask is that i am wondering if the speed i am getting from the machine is the most it should do? I have 128mb of ram and the 060 is @ 50mhz and sysinfo gives me a result of 2.05 times as fast as an 040 @ 25mhz. Although this is like chalk and cheese compared to my 1200 with 50mhz 030 i was under the impression that the 060 was more than twice as fast as an 040 at a given clock speed. All this makes me wonder if i need updated libs or maybe this card is simply slower than say a cyberstorm mk3 or is it that sysinfo has no native support for 060 cpu's? if someone else could post there speed for comparison it would help me see whats up. thanks in advance |

thanks for that link it will help me greatly.
I just had a go using the benchmark that comes with classicWB and i get 68mips which if you go here http://amiga.resource.cx/perf/sysspeed.html seems to back up that my speed is as expected and is in fact faster than an 040 at the same speed. I guess sysinfo is just too old now to be accurate. regards, Joe |

i know with my apollo 040 it was down on mips in the benchmarks in comparison, so i swapped the 3.1 ClassicWB 040 libs with the os3.9 libs and that brang it up to scratch with the benchmarks.
As far as i know..the link i sent you has the most up to date libs for your card......hope this helps. |

I just reread that...sysinfo has never properly supported 060 cpu's as far as i'm aware.
