From my experience with backbone.
8 way scrolling, no... unless you want your game to require 68040 to run.
32 colors forget it, 16. Colors at best. Too slow.
Big mod files, forget them or else run out of memory.
Big sprites, no because too much memory and too slow.
Full screen area, no way or else too slow.
Big maps, no because run out of memory. Split in levels.

In the end
256*224 with a panel
2 way scrolling
16 colors
Max 30kb mod.
Max 32*32 sprites
Avoid lots of events.
Avoid lots of objects per level.

Games styles I believe are mostly suited for this editor; commander keen, smash TV (light), donkey Kong, super Mario land (light), contra (light), ninja gaiden, shinobi etc.

Love the style of the original game, Amiga should cope with this quite nicely.

Would you use animation sprites for the Fans or a 2d vector??

Animation, its only about 8 frames per fan before the pattern repeats.

Is anyone actually adept at ripping flash games to pieces?

Basically all the sound fx, all the graphic blocks, animations, intermission screens etc?

No offence to Amigasystem who has made a valiant effort here, but this looks like a really nice style game, and i'm thinking a proper 1:1 version for Amiga would go down well.

Anyone up for the challenge of ripping it all?

If you have the time and are going to code / make a full Amiga version Sir Galahad then maybe you could enter this in the EAB GameDev Competition

Nah bollocks to that, time restraints don't make for a fun experience.

Rather it was a no pressure event

You don't have to finish the game in that timeframe...

All entries will be judged on their merit at the time of the competition's closure, that's all... and you have the chance to win prize money

...obviously you can continue working on whatever game you're doing afterwards, until completion and eventually the final release.
