Amiga 1000, RAM and Hard Drive Support

Hi,
I was an Amiga 500 owner for some years back in 1987 and wanted to
reclaim the glory of my older years by purchasing an Amiga 1000.

my question is what RAM upgrade (with model names, etc) and Hard Drive
upgrades are possible with this?

I was also thinking of using my PC as a hard drive by using a null modem to
transfer information to the a1000. Of course this would limit my ability to use
modems.

Any and all information is appreciated!

Thanks,
John

There is a guy named Tomtul on Amibay there is selling home-made (but with a very professional look) Zorro-2 adaptors which you can use any Zorro-2 boards on the A1000.

They will look a bit odd on the A1000, as they protrudes from the right side of the A1000, but with the adaptor you can use a GVP SCSI+8, for example (or a cheap A2091: SCSI controller with up to 2Mb of FAST RAM).
