Smooth animation. It is quite unique in AMOS games. Still, like Lonewolf wrote - the real test will be when there are enemies to shoot.

I guess this is right place to promote my own game that i released 25th of december last year called "Help My Cat!".

I originally promoted it only at Amigaworld.net: http://amigaworld.net/modules/newbb/...732&forum=9&13

from where you can read some background about it.

A short gameplay video (game itself is only minutes long basically): [ Show youtube player ]

Downloadable from Indiego only currently: http://www.indiego-gaming.com/marketplace

I do plan to upload it to Aminet at somepoint too, but havent had any hurry on it, especially now that I got the 10 euros from Indiegos Developer Bonus Program. Perhaps I can get that next month as well.

No offense, but I'm not going to download software just to download your game from the site. It's one of my pet peeves of the 'modern' internet and it's why I don't use Amazon for digital music downloads anymore.

Please upload your game to Aminet.

Or have you used a Windows-specific version of LHA or something that isn't compatible with the Amiga and Linux versions of LHA? I'd really love to try your game, but haven't been able to yet because of this. Not sure how others have managed to get the file working.
It did the rename file thing for me too, but I can extract on my laptop using WinRAR without issues. WinRAR will happily extract Amiga .LHA files without any issues. WinZIP will also extract it without issues.

However, I don't know about WinRAR. Is this what you are using?

I'm using both Lha on the Amiga and Lha on Linux, neither will extract the file. I don't have a Windows machine so haven't tried WinRAR or WinZip, but I'll see if they work through Wine.

Ghosts n goblins is one of those games that gets harder as you get older.

Nice to have this so that i don't have to finish that game in backbone.

Although L'Abbaye des Morts is different from Ghosts n goblins, it's more like Manic Miner, avoid the bad guys, collect the items and find the exit.

>Abbaye des Morts [..] an AGA version?
Certainly an AGA version is possible
In fact the current OS3 version NOT TRULY NEED a 68020 but as it used RTG so I compiled it for 020 to prevent from running it on a slow cpu machine
(In fact the OS3 version was only maded to compile and test inside WinUAE. The true goal was to make an OS4 version)
Keep i mind that it is a port not a native A500 game : for example it redraw all at each frame ==> will need some enhancements to make an A500 version

Now the sources are very clean : It no more use SDL and all the OS dependant stuffs are in amigaos.c so porting this 2.1 version to ANY platforms is easy

>Nice to have this so that i don't have to finish that game in backbone.
Please finish your game : I am a BIIIIIIG Ghost goblins fan

BTW does backbone save the game as a binary config file too ? (not only as script)
I mean Is it possible for me to code a backbone-player for OS4 ?

I doubt it... unless you write an 68000 emulator for OS4...

Backbone is made using AMOS. AMOS (and AMOS Pro) are both designed to run on OCS/ECS hardware and is not particularly system friendly (e.g. no multi-tasking unless software has had special patch applied to it).
