Yes, prowler is correct. Practice mode with no opponents (though other bikers will still be on the track). Come join in the fun capehorn At the moment it seems like a 3-horse race

I thought the best thing to do was just to post 7 crumby scores and improved them one by one...

I'm ahead of you. Did you lose it on the previous lap?

No problem... 497.9
When I added that up I missed out one of the minutes (came up with a total of 437.9), I realised I need to shave off an entire minute before my score becomes competitive |

Keep practicing capehorn, with michelle you'll be surprised how many corners you can take at full speed! (most of them).
Nah.. had to pit so I could change to manual gears Total time : 7:09:90 (429.9s) 1. Paul Ricard -- 01:49:20 (Miyuki) 2. Chiswick -- 00:51:40 3. Nutford -- 00:54:80 4. Mallory -- 00:42:20 5. Waddesdon -- 00:51:40 6. Tetbury -- 00:52:90 7. Cadwell -- 01:08.00 |

I am using Michelle ATM. Do you have any tips for the two corners I've highlighted below? I alway break for them both, I was wondering whether it's possible to do them any other way, and also what kind of upside there is for using manual gears (in terms of seconds per lap).

For the second one (bottom-left), start as far right on the track as possible and flat out. Start breaking a fraction after the sign appears (indicating the left turn), turn as sharp as possible (you'll have to learn the timing) and around the apex of the corner (halfway through the hairpin) floor it. If done right you should come out of the corner (by the time you straighten up) with a speed around 290km/h or better. Not used manual gears yet, so i can't answer that one. I was focusing on getting the best out of Michelle, before trying other drivers and manual gears. We do have another 2 weeks left |

The main advantage of manual gears is better acceleration because you can rev each gear to maximum before shifting. So on tracks with corners that require shifting down gears you can maintain a higher speed and reach top speed faster on exit.

You may wish to check your gear ratio's... I'm still using automatic gears and beating you on track 6

I don't think I'll be able to do any better than this without manual gears, and I'm not using those yet.
