Its just a module for the ROM, you replace the original ROMBOOT with this one.

Me too actually. I wasn't a big fan of this logo either:

The original tick logo is by far the best.

Ermmm, I can't remember now, was ages ago since the last were released. You download the patches and patch your romboot module if I recall.

Awesome - if I ever get around to building that custom kickstart I've always wanted to do, this is _definitely_ going in

No its true who would think people would still be using their Amiga's after 30 years And i think i read Amiga inc intended to use the boing ball at one point as the logo but when commodore bought them they went with with tick mark.

Hi there Mr. Ratte!

Would you like to share, please, some info about how to edit the disassembled "romboot" inside the kickstart? I have tried using "ira" to get the assembly code.. It seems to me to understand that picture and the animation above are not somehow encoded bitmap but, instead, vector graphics.. while at this point i'm not able to have a clue about what all this might be usefull to...any advises from you? :-)

Regards!

If it is really only a new startup-picture for an OS3.9 system, where is the point?
If I use 3.9 the new rom is loaded from HDD. So I will never see the picture anyway.
Dont't get me wrong I like it but it makes no sense at all since 3.9 is HDD only. Isn't it?

You can see it if you disable all the hdd in boot menu ;-)
Would be cool if it reported some hardware info too,
like current cpu and available ram.

I know but why would someone disable all HDD in ESC? But I remember older HDD's with a very slow inital spinup time. Those would work every time you power on the Amiga.
That would be nice to have some HW monitor(somewhat PC'ish for my taste though) but is there enough room left in the (512k)rom?
