Anyone remember a game called....
Scorched Tanks....
I was amazed to find that its creator rewrote it for the pc before sadly dying of Hochkins Lymphona..... Its called TREADMARKS these days and you can find it at ( http://www.treadmarks.com/ ) you can pick it up for just a few quid at ( www.dmf.filetap.com ) - Just a thought in case there were any old fans of the original amiga version out there...... |

For something closer to the original (in fact, I think the original was a clone of this...?) you could try Scorched Earth.
Don't remember if there's a windows-friendly version, so you may need to break out DosBox. |

Or, if you want your tanks to move lol .. and have some cool pickups ... treadmarks.com lol....
It all depends on your flavour, to use a recreation of the Seaumas McNally original, or to actually play Seamas's natural evolutioned game, either way, i like TM and just thought you retro scamps would be interested |

That IS a more faithful recreation.... just missing the "Question of Sport" sample..... you get a kill and the puter goes..... "EEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR Extrodinary !!" (i think that was from an amos version i once played, pretty cool... had me in fits lol" |
