CD32 blank screen (Was: Quickstart - CDTV-CR)

It seems, the indicator for the CD is not working.
No problems with CDTV (no CDTV-CR) emulation.

With WinUAE 3.2.2 in addition to CDTV, i also have some problems on CD32 in load ISO, in addition to not see the intro (i hear only the music), the problem with the intro he was also the case with the 3.2.1, okay rather well with the 3.2.0 and earlier.

About which game (CD image file) are you talking?
Can you upload your config file?

Then take the test with Kick Off Collection CD32 .

I tried my CD "Original" CD32 "real" "The Chaos Engine" and i have the same problem, with 3.2.1 e 3.2.2 does not start "Intro loading the CD" you do not see the animation of the game, you only hear the audio, with 3.2.0 and earlier instead all OK.

- Don't hijack threads. (CD32 is not CDTV-CR, CD led not working is not black screen)
- Videos are useless in 99.99% problem cases.
- No logs and config from working and non-working version = NO HELP as usual!

Video vs saying "I get black screen": not much difference.. Technical details are required.

Do you also get black screen if you run last working version (3.2.0?), load your config and set Display panel buffer setting to "double buffering", then start emulation?

Do you only get black screen in windowed mode?

Tried FIX today and now everything works perfectly, okay the intro, okay ISO, it's OK CD real perfect animations.

-3.2.2 Native Windowed also with double buffering -> black screen

-3.2.2 Native Full-Window, Working no problem
-3.2.2 Native Full Screen, Working no problem

-3.2.0 Native Windowed, Native Full Working no problem

-3.2.2 Fix (15-12) -> Native Windowed, Native Full Working no problem

There was nothing "fixed" today..

More tests:

- Boot without CD. Does CD32 title screen appear normally? (Removal of one unknown variable)
- When screen blanks, does screenshot still work correctly? "Before filtering" checkbox checked and not checked.
- Does on screen leds also disappear? (misc -> native on-screen display)

NOTE: Do not change any options after emulation has been started. Always do single test, quit emulator completely, run next test. This is very important!

Excuse Toni only made the first test you asked, for others i did not understand what should I do.

Regarding the fix today, I do not know what to say,but I can assure you that it works perfectly, while the old version continues to have problems,remade repeatedly tests, without change options and always starting a new emulation; i attach screenshot showing the two versions I've done the test.

Quickstart - CD32 (CD image only added, no other changes)

Just tried "The Chaos Engine" (CHD image format) and it is working well.
Also the FMV support (Cannon Fodder) is still fine.

Tested with the last unofficial Beta version on WinXP SP3 32-bit OS.

Retry your test using current winuae.7z. Still working?

If not, open Miscellaneous panel, tick "native on-screen display", does on screen leds appear on bottom of screen? (While everything else is blank)

Also run with log window open ("winuae.exe -log"), wait 30 seconds, does any extra log messages appear?

EDIT: Obviously it has nothing to do with games. Don't bother with games.

I hope you understand, if you're referring to Led Green then become Red, you will see

winuaebootlog is useless. winuaelog.txt is more useful but wait at least 1 minute while the screen is black before ending emulation.

Difference seems to be optimization level. If full optimization = black screen.

Of course it works fine here and because I am going to release next update this week, it probably won't get fixed unless someone finds the real reason or I can duplicate it.

OK Toni, done winuaelog.txt, if the problem is only my, i will also try emulation of My other PC, i would not think the problem is caused from my video card or its drivers.
