CD-Rom
I replaced the cd-rom in the 2000 with one i can use that has a tray.
i have the SCSI ids setup properly but nothing happens when i put a disc in. using a GVP for scsi |

Magical link that enables or disables SCSI drives on the SCSI bus, it helps if you tell us WHICH GVP board you are running. Paul |

with previous cdrom drive it was working? simplest will be setting it on same SCSI ID and terminating it like old drive

If no avail, two possibilities:
1- New CD unit is busted; 2- Bad SCSI cable. If it have more connectors, install the CD unit on another one. |

Do you have the CDFS and mountfile all set up correctly? It's possible, especially with an old caddy loading drive that it had some special options set, which are incompatible with the newer drive.
