need a .txt file of the latest official games .adf TOSEC .dat

I have lots of Amiga disk which I plan to be selling together with a few Amiga-500s.

But before I get rid of them I want to check if these are already in TOSEC, so that no possibly rare versions of any software gets lost

But since I haven't dealt with any renaming tools in years and don't have the time to transfer them all, please can someone just email me a .txt file which contains all the latest filenames of .adf games and maybe tools, too ?

Thanks for your help !

wouldn't it be easier to just transfer the disk and do a Tosec scan instead of manually compare the names against this huge Tosec list?

Hi Guys !

Many thanks for the files !!

@Adderly:

I know, transferring would be the better option, but unfortunately I simply don't have the time for this - it would take weeks to transfer hundreds of disks!

@Kodoichi:

I sell some Amiga-500 sets, complete with mouse, joystick and ofcourse disks But I am not that stupid to sell them as copied games if you think like that I sell them as empty disks ofcourse, but noone would buy an Amiga-500 set without disk!
Also, most of the disks I have bouhgt myself together with similar A-500 sets, so I don't make any profit selling them again !
Understand ?

IMO you can boot the disk on the Amiga.
If the cracktro matches with the Tosec ADFs another dump
would produce only more [a]´s.Are these [a] ADF´s of
any use?

99.9% are just [a]'s coz of highscores, savegames, virus, hacked "xyz was here" startup-sequences, disk validating and so on.
And then there are the 0.1% rare, unmodified, 100% cracked, bug free versions etc....

Probably not worth the trouble... So YES, they are of use.

Yes, thats what I normally do, load it up until the cracktro appears and then check with the TOSEC list if this crack is aleady there.

I know there is the possibility like Adderly explains, but I think transferring takes too much time, although I will try with an A-600 via SD card. It could be faster than loading the disks up to the cracktro in some cases !

Yeah, please xfer the Sodan disks sometime.

Sometimes the TOSEC images are corrupt without being labeled as such.

That should be enough to keep & dump them and not to throw away.

Aye! I just uploaded 2000+ adf's for Tosec inclusion. Most of them came from my own collection and a lot of disks will be included without an [a]. These non-Tosec disks would be lost if i had trashed the disks....

First it means a lot of work for [idoru] to add them to the database.
The Tosec website has just be updated with a "sign of life" and RealLife issues excuses... so probably not too soon.

There is no need to rush.I still have enough dumps.

@[idoru]
Is the update of the Amiga dats/database an one man project?

Well, the files Adderly has given me are renamed - but do need checking that they follow the TOSEC naming guidelines & correct usage of flags & alt numbers etc. which means every individual file needs checking against what's already renamed if only in terms of filename.

@NOB: I still have your files on my "to do" list for renaming. I'll do them soon as i'm now busy with all the Zone uploads.

Most people mentioned in the author's field are past contributors and aren't active anymore.
