CD32 Audio playback in assembler primitives

Hi all,

Has any of the coders here been able to play CD audio tracks with the system off on a CD32?

I'm looking to do this but I don't have any assembler primitives I can work with... can anyone provide any assembler examples of how controlling the CD audio playback works?

Any help appreciated.

Cheers,
Geezer

using the system or not? Toni wrote a nice hardware banging CD32 pio routine which works fine. ATM it plays tracks and is able to detect when the track has ended.

That's the code I have adapted for CD32load. It implies that you have a level 2 interrupt running (unlike in Bomb Jack )

I've zoned the source code + cd32load source (which has an API at least)

Thanks jotd.... I'm kicking myself because I should have looked first. I have found it.

I basically want to adapt CD audio into Rygar as an option if running on CD32 systems.

that shoudn't be an issue. Good idea as you can rip Rygar original music too and convert to .mp3/.wav/.cue as I did for Marble Madness CD32 adaptation: https://vgmrips.net/packs/pack/rygar-arcade

Give me a ping if you have issues with the code or some other .cue/.mp3 conversion aspect.
