Sorry for the delay in this, but I just need to 100% confirm the levels and scoring system we are going to use.

It has been discussed - four levels to be played, and I suspect that we are going to score based on time remaining and percentage of lemmings saved - but I'd rather not jump the gun and assume the current method that has been talked about is the one we are definitely going to use.

The choosen levels and scoring system has now been added.

The scoring system may look complicated, but once we get going the basic principle for scoring well should become clear.

Please remain slightly open to tweaking of the score system as we are not sure how the more diffulcult levels will pan out.

At what point should the picture be taken - just as the screen starts to fade out?
Leaving it any longer than that is pointless - you only get the % saved and % required in the completion screen.

Edit:

Fun Level 21 is called You Live and Lem, not Dinosaur. (Atleast in the ADFs anyway)

Edit 2:

Urgh. The % reads 00%, instead of 100% when all Lemmings reach home

I appreciate the mods putting a lot of thought into this and they seem to have come up with a good albeit complicated scoring system.

Here are three screenshots of the first level. The first is a submission on it's own with one lemming left. The second and third both come from the same attempt as one another and hopefully provide proof that all 100 lemmings were saved. Can that be accepted? Because it reads on Lemon like you want us to always sacrifice at least one lemming.

Is this correct?

1: (375-5)*.99=366.3?
2: (375-0)*1=375?

We might have to do it that way to avoid the "is that 100% or 00%?" debate.

The way I read it is that your scores would be thus:

1: (375-5)*99=36,630
2: (375-0)*100=37,500

Please can the mods confirm the above questions. I am itching to get playing properly on this game

Your screenshot shows 00% that is why we are saying to take it with one lemming remaining.

Yes.

Although to enter them in the score table which only accepts integers currently we will enter them as 3663 and 3750

from reading the lemon thread you can never have 100% and you must always keep one lemming left and hence always have at least 5 second penalty. So you cannot have a -0 score

This correct ?

So this correct ?

Fun Level 21 -(368 - 5) * 99 = 35,937

or

Fun Level 21 -(368 - 5) * 99% = 363.05

Fun Level 21 - (368 -5) * 99% = 363.05
Fun Level 22 - (43 -5) * 99% = 37.62
Tricky Level 14 - (176 -5 ) * 97% = 165.87
Taxing Level 14 - (54 - 0) * 98% = 52.92 (caught this as it was fading out think the - zero counts. I hope)
Taxing Level 20 - (177-5) * 14% = 24.08
Mayhem Level 1 -

Total so far 643.54

Sorry for a gap in communication. I wrote a guide on Lemon, so players can check that out, but essentially:

For example,
2mins 10seconds and 99% saved would be:
(60seconds x2+10)= 130 seconds x .99 = 128.7 (or x 99 = 12870, same score).

I personally would stick to x 99 or x100 instead of .99 or .1, as this just gets confusing.

Capehorn - 36630 points is correct, 37500 points is correct. Yes I ran a secario in my mind last night where a player could explode all remaining lemmings and causing it to pause before fading away, and showing the 00 (100%) on screen. So I guess its possible to save 100% on some levels, and have Zero out.

SoulAssassin: 35,937 is correct in your first post. Yes your numbers seem ok.

We'll have to see what this looks like in real terms once the score boards fill out. Not sure if Graham will post all 6 for Lemmings on EAB, but they are on Lemon anyway. Happy gaming.

edit: yes, Dinosaur, spider web and iron clad are the quick names I gave to the levels to make them short for the high scores tables. Renaming them to their full names would just be impossible, but Mike has now changed the Dinosaur level to You Live and Lem for you.

SoulAssassin - Just remove the '.' and the scores are fine. But I had to remove your Zero Out score, not because of the score, but this was supposed to by the Awesome level from the game Awesome, and I made sure screenshots were easily identifyable. The level you completed was not Awesome, so perhaps somewhere there is a mix up with the passwords. I know some cracks have the levels in different orders?

Ahh, ok. I was a little worried I was playing the wrong levels.

Thanks for changing the name Mike

I used the attached whdload and passwords. So don't get how could be wrong level. ?

Also just removing the decimal point is not the same as multiplying by 99

So the level you mark as awesome goes to the "Hunt the nessy" level , which my screenshot clearly is of. Should it not be the hunt the nessy level ?

if os either the supplied password is wrong or the attached whdload version is wrong ?

I solved the mystery. Sorry, I made an error, its level 15 Taxing which is the Awesome level, not 14 as listed, therefore the password is: NHMDHFALGS.

As it turns out, 'Walk The Web Rope' and 'Steel Works' are short enough titles for the high scores after all.

Ok will give that a shot

Now should we multiplying scores by 0.99 and 1 or 99 and 100 ?
