Getting my GVP A530 CF'd for my A500

I'm wondering if any of you have successfully removed your SCSI drive from your A530 and replaced it with a CF card. If so, what products did you buy and at what cost?

Also, an unrelated issue.. my internal drive is completely dead in my A500. Wonder where the best place to go to grab one is. Thanks.

You can disregard this. I'm going to stick with the SCSI route. As for the internal floppy, I'm still searching although I'm watching an ebay auction I hope to get.

you have to get a SCSI to IDE bridge adaptor, and they are a few hundred bucks! lol

They didn't used to be and I'm sure if you keep your eye on eBay and the forums you can get them cheaper.

Yeah, cost was one issue, but issues of fried chips were the other. $7 shipped for a 4.3 gig scsi and $1.80 shipped for a 80 pin to 50 pin seemed like the best alternative.
