A2386SX: "software error" upon reboot

So I have played around with the A2386SX bridgeboard in one of my A2000 configs, adding a 100MB hard drive. I have copied the A2386 AmigaJanus files onto my A2091 hard drive, installing DJMount FFS and letting Installer modify the startup-sequence. The installation completes, but when I reboot the system, it displays [CLI 2], the bridgeboard starts up, and then "Software error - task held. Finish ALL disk activity. Select CANCEL to reset/debug". I remember when I created my A2286 config, I got the same error, but I have no idea how I got rid of it. Does A2386 disagree with my A2091?

(Yes, I know about the bridgeboard thread at http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=76395, but it didn't seem to help one bit.)

No, it does not like A2091 for some reason. I managed to install AmigaJanus on a modified WB1.3 disk with success. I thought that it might have been easier for me to install on a A2091 hard drive rather than manually deleting some non-critical files. I might try other SCSI interfaces in the future and see if those work.

Log is a mess. Never use Restart when creating log files, always quit and start whole emulator when changing config. It for example contains old data like AdIDE being enabled etc..

Also, you didn't tell me what command crashes (is it binddrivers?), how it crashes (always same guru or random?), does it crash if you don't have PC HD installed etc..

Also don't use old betas!

EDIT: Does usual janus handler messages appear at PC boot? It they do, it should not have anything to do with A2091.

Sorry, I didn't realize. Fixed

It is not BindDrivers, it is DJMount, loaded from S:user-startup. The line there is "DJMount FFS". It is always the same guru (#0000000B.00308258).

It crashes even if the PC HD is attached and its bridgeboard expansion is disabled.

I can't even open a PC Window to check this. When I click the "PC Mono" or "PC Color" icons, nothing seems to happen. If I click PCReset or Flipper icons, it gives me a error code 121 (file is not executable).

It seem PC side boots normally (it continues booting after Amiga side crash). Enable VGA "RTG" board (with compatible bios, check other threads), then you can use END+F9 to switch between Amiga and PC screens. (Or put VGA to other monitor to see both windows at the same time).

Your problem seems to be Amiga-side only, perhaps some incompatibility between some programs or too small stack or you missed some important file etc..

I managed to boot the PC side and have 2 windows open, but focus is still on the Amiga side, meaning that I can't access the keyboard within the PC's, meaning that I can't press [Ctrl-Alt-Esc] to get to the setup.

There is no PC keyboard so you won't be able to send any keys without PC mono or color window open...
