@Aral - it would be worth you checking to see what progress CIA are making with this.

You can check this thread... http://awesome.commodore.me/forum/showthread.php?t=232

Dont worry we will have these magazines scanned, i have spent a lot of cash on equipment and sourcing most of the AF magazines.
I have built a new PC system and I'm just waiting for the GFX card to be delivered tomorrow.

We need people to check all current PDFs if they have all pages included, and note bad quality scans.
Later, one can OCR the magazines and have HTML/text versions to be included with for example, emulator systems.

Step by step with community support all work can be done for the next generation.. database systems..

@asymetrix
I have wrapped your huge Amiga Format mag list using the code tags, to make your first post easier to view, you can still make your additions without it causing any problems.

tbh, it's much easier on the eye too

My good friend Peter has the actual magazine, and sometime soon, he'll be sending a stack load to me for scanning, which includes Issue 106.

Don't hold your breath though, because by the looks of it, I'll have in the reqion of 40-50 mags to scan, which I'm not looking forward too :s

EDIT: Of course, asymetrix may beat me to it, hopefully , but whoever gets there first is an achievement in itself and a hard slog too.

Due to a hard drive crash i have lost all my copies of amiga format.

The only place i can get them from at the moment is here

http://www.asy-metrix.com/AmigaFormat/index.html

unfortunately the mags download at 10kbs and will take at least an hour per magazine

The site that asymetrix points to, the magazine section is offline.

Does anyone have a complete collection now? and anywhere else i can download these from?

thanks for any help

I've just downloaded 2 disks "get the most out of your amiga" from AMR, loaded them into WinUAE and they don't boot. So I loaded up my WinUAE A1200 config, looked at the contents of the disks and they both have a reference to loadwb & endcli.

Neither of these disks have the files in the C: dir.

Did AF leave these files out either on purpose, or by accident, or are the disks on AMR not true copies?

The book (1990) state's on page 163, that both disks are non-bootable, and I would also expect AMR's coverdisks to be legit copies too

edit: Actually, the disks scans that I have, also tell you this:-

Quote:
ALL PROGRAMS ON THIS DISK SHOULD BE
ACCESSED FROM WORKBENCH SEE PAGE
163 OF THE BOOK FOR INSTRUCTIONS

I literally just tried my copy of this out the other night and it didn't boot so i guess not... I just assumed it was a bad disk.

Almost dumped this

I was just cleaning out the loft and came upon this

Its a small booklet that was incuded in a Mag, i thought it might be usefull for people just starting with the Amiga 1200.
I have a problem with my scanner with OCR atm, but i have scanned the pages as jpg files, the problem is the total - 58.8Meg so if you wish i could zip them up and upload them if you think they could be useful, just let me know where and how.

another pic
