So regarding the demo of "Basket Island [AGA]"; is it just these files that are useful underneath the "MANYK_BISLAND_DEMO" directory:

a) game1.exe
b) game3.exe
c) TeamSelection.exe

I copied these (plus the "Data" folder) to a directory on a standard WB 3.1 hard drive and can launch each of them

With "TeamSelection.exe" though, all I can do is move over which team I want but guess that's all?

Ok, so in my usual fashion I've creating a single bootable "HD install" --> "ADF" of this

Use a "Quickstart A1200 - 2MB Chip & 4MB Fast RAM" configuration (or have those specs in your real Amiga)...

As always, this release is really for people that:

... Don't have a hard drive.
... Don't know how to extract / install etc. to a hard drive in order to play.
... Use GameBase Amiga.
... Have HxC Gotek hardware.

Enjoy

File now in The Zone! and also on the EAB file server under the directory "~Uploads/DamienD/HD INSTALL --> ADFS" & "Commodore_Amiga/[unreleased]/modified"

If someone knew what the opening title screen was supposed to look like then maybe it could be reconstructed from this material and then fix the HOL double barrel screenshot. Anyway thanks to the Captain for leaving no stone unturned looking for new Amiga stuff.

Funny thing I noticed is that under the directory "MANYK_BISLAND_DEMO\Data" there is a file named "IntroScreen.dat".

Guess the 3 programs under "MANYK_BISLAND_DEMO" don't reference this in their code:

... game1.exe
... game3.exe
... TeamSelection.exe

yes indeed. check the loading folder, it has the basket island main introscreen.
There is a palm tree on it.

In fact, teamselection.exe should be part of the not made main executable.

The program of this game is actually overlayed programs linked.

That's the file that caught my eye. This needs unpacking with something that can do stonecracker. It can be viewed with Maptapper setting 320x820x5planes ACBM with the default palette.

Check folder 4.selection ECRAN_SELECTION.IFF. The palette from that picture is copied to the big one. See the basketball that doesn't seem to belong? One theory is it could be cursor for the Start/Options portion.

Another thing not known is if jet black is the right background. There could be a sky gradient for example.

Hello there clenched,

I've spent a bit of time going through all the lovely stuff that dlfrsilver has provided.

Loads of interesting images in the archive

Anyway, went through and anything Amiga that may be useful I've converted from .IFF to .PNG. I've kept the same folder structure so you can see where the images came from.

"Basket Island_Interesting Images [IFF to PNG].rar" is now in The Zone!

...looked like this would have been a cracking game; such a same it was never completed

I've also taken some screenshots from the demo via WinUAE.

In The Zone! is a file named "Basket Island_DemoScreenshots.rar"

Clenched, look inside the archive at LOADING, and the file Ecran selection.png

That's the screen where you have Start and Options.

Oh Damien, you should have kept the PC graphics, because they are the same as the Amiga ones, and they are more complete.

For instance, the sprites for Amiga and PC use all the new backdrops.

I've kept your complete archive Denis; don't worry

...this was just for people to see some cool graphics easily from a PC. I can process all in the "PC" folders also; as you say they are also .IFF files which the Amiga likes to munch on.

In fact, the good job done for Amiga AGA was continued for PC.

There are some added backgrounds.

Ok, all .IFF files from underneath the directory / subdirectories "MANYK_BASKET ISLAND AGA_PC_ASSETS\BISLAND_ASSETS" have now been converted into .PNG files...

New file in The Zone! "Basket Island - BISLAND_ASSETS [IFF to PNG].rar"
